Information About Galataport
Galataport Istanbul is a world-class destination project covering a 1.2 km coastline along the enchanting Bosphorus with a 1.7 billion dollar investment.
Located in the city center, Galataport offers a living space equipped with the conveniences of digitalization and the latest technologies.
Transforming Istanbul’s historical port into a modern cruise port and a new destination, Galataport reopens the coastline that has been closed to public access for many years.
With its accessible and low-rise structures, neighborhood concept design, architecture compatible with the historical texture of the region, alternative transportation facilities, and more, it offers visitors a healthy, safe, and breathable cultural, business, shopping, and dining experience.
The cruise terminal, which is implemented for the first time in the world and designed underground with a special cover system, is one of the unique aspects of the project. The historical port continues its existence as Istanbul‘s gateway to the world from the sea.
The project also solves the city’s parking problem with an underground parking lot with a capacity of 2400 vehicles. Galataport Istanbul will host a total of 25 million visitors per year, of which 7 million will be foreign visitors.
Within the scope of the project, it is expected that approximately 1.5 million cruise passengers, including the crew, will visit Istanbul. Galataport Istanbul stands out as one of the most important projects in Istanbul and the world, where history and culture coexist with modern life.
